Consultations at Flour Confections are by appointment only.

As each week we are busy creating orders for clients, Lisa is only available for personal meetings for wedding cakes or large event cakes which meet our minimum pricing of $450.

Unfortunately during the busy wedding season, we cannot accommodate personal consultations on weekends as we are busy executing orders. Appointments can be scheduled during the week Tuesday through Thursday between 1:00pm and 6:00pm. We require a $25 deposit for all FC Cake Flight cake tastings, which includes up to four cake flavor combinations.

If you choose to have Flour Confections create your cake, your $25 deposit will be credited toward the balance of your order. All of our cake tastings are prepared and boxed for pick-up only and will be ready for pick-up at the pre-arranged time set at the time the order is placed.

As we like to focus our attention on each and every client, only a maximum of 3 wedding cakes are booked per weekend.

When inquiring for your wedding or event cake, please be sure to provide the following information:

Date of event

Venue location

Number of guests attending

How the cake will be served: main dessert or late night sweet table

Style or cake design desired

Approximated budget for the cake

Appointments are secured with a non-refundable $25 consultation fee payable via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, or email Interact transfer. Should you choose to book your cake order with Flour Confections; the $25 fee will be applied to your order.

During your 1 hour appointment, you will be provided with a complimentary box of our FC Cake Flight – 4 of our most popular flavours for you to take home and enjoy.

In order to best make use of our time, please be sure to bring along any and/or all of the following:

Invitation design samples

Fabric or colour samples

Dress designs or images

Cake designs or images

Floral information

Basically anything and everything that will help inspire your custom cake design

As all of our tasting samples are baked fresh to order, please note that all consultations are confirmed to a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you miss your appointment, your fee will not be refunded. If you are going to be late for your appointment, a phone call to inform us would be appreciated.

As a courtesy to us and to other clients, please try to arrive on your scheduled appointment time. Arriving late will take away precious moments from the designing process. Each client is given 1 hour of time; therefore your consultation will end on time regardless of how late we begin so that the next client is not delayed.

Your event date is placed on hold from the date of your appointment for 7 calendar days. If a signed contract and 40% deposit has not been received within that time frame, your date may become unavailable.
